1,000 Words Submission Terms and Conditions
To participate, please email your favorite travel photo to athousandwords@united.com, along with a 200-word or less description of where and why it was taken, and a personal bio of 100 words or less including your name, hometown, employer, Mileage Plus number and a contact phone number. We appreciate receiving only one submission per 1K member, per 90 days. Please limit photos to 2MB, in JPEG format only (Please do not mail ink-jet prints of digital photos), and send as an email attachment.
Only those whose images are selected for publication will be contacted via email.
Photographs should be no more than two years old. Only one submission per 1K member / Mileage Plus number per ninety days will be accepted.
Photographs that have been altered are automatically disqualified for use.
By submitting a photograph, senders agree that the 1K Only Website may reproduce photos in any format.

Mileage Plus Signature Visa Terms and Conditions
1. For eligibility, Mileage Plus member must hold 1K status at the time of the $60 credit. Your $60 credit will appear on your credit card statement in April or May of the year after you earned 1K status. Offer subject to card issuance. Limit one credit per year per Mileage Plus number.
2. You will receive bonus miles when you make $250 in qualifying transactions. Qualifying transactions include purchases, balance transfers or any checks that are used to access your account. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks after your qualifying transactions appear on your billing statement for bonus miles to post to your account. To qualify for bonus miles, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. This offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Existing cardmembers / accounts are not eligible. Only one bonus per account.
3. The maximum number of miles you can earn with the United Mileage Plus Visa card is 60,000 miles per calendar year. However, there is no cap for Mileage
Plus Premier Associate®, Premier®, Premier Executive® or 1K® members. Miles are earned on net purchases only. Miles are not earned on balance transfers,
cash advances, any checks that access your account or fees, including fees for products that protect or insure the balance of the cardmember's account. Bonus miles do not count towards caps. See Program Rules and Regulations which will be mailed after your account is established.

Fares do not include a $3.40 per flight segment tax. A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. Fares do not include the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per segment at a U.S. airport or Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18, which may be collected depending on the itinerary. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes and agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $41. For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security, and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $160 will apply depending on destination. For return travel from some countries, fares do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45, which may be collected by the foreign government.

Avis Terms and Conditions
250 bonus miles offer for rentals of three or four days and 500 bonus miles offer for rentals of five days or more is valid between January 1 and December 31, 2008, on qualifying rentals at participating Avis airport locations in the 48 contiguous U.S., Mexico, Canada and Latin America.
Offer is valid on Intermediate (Group C) car or higher. Offers valid on daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rates. An advance reservation is required. Offer may not be used with any other coupon, promotion or offer. Minimum age is 25, but may vary by location. Members of Avis’ Preferred® Service program must provide their Mileage Plus membership number at the time of reservation and at the rental counter. Taxes, concession recovery fees, customer facility charges ($10/contracts in CA) and other surcharges may apply and are extra. Frequent flyer surcharge of up to $.50 per day, up to a maximum of $2 per rental, may apply. Mileage accrual structure subject to change.
Bonus miles are in addition to the 50 base miles earned per day up to four rental days, 500 base miles earned for qualifying rentals of five or more days at participating locations worldwide. Renter must meet Avis age, driver and credit requirements and rental must begin by December 31, 2008. Please allow six to eight weeks for miles to post to your account.

Award Seats Terms and Conditions
Markets are only highlighting non-stop flights that have saver award availability for travel December 1, 2006 through January 31, 2007. Markets are only valid on United, Ted and United Express operated flights, but not on flights operated by other airlines (such as United-marketed code share and Star Alliance flights). Roundtrip travel is required.
If you choose to use a saver award for one-way travel, no residual credit will be issued for unused segments. No stopovers permitted.
Award space is subject to availability and capacity-control restrictions apply. Since award space is booked in a special class of service, it may not be available on all flights or on all days of the week when you choose to travel.
Travel on award tickets is not subject to mileage accrual.
Changes are permitted in advance through United Reservations with applicable service charges. Standby is allowed on United flights.
No upgrades are permitted on award travel booking.
This promotion is only highlighting XY saver award inventory.
After an award ticket is issued, a service charge may be imposed for each change requested by the member which necessitates the reassurance of the ticket. Changes to the date or flight time will not result in a service charge provided changes are made within the valid dates of this offer and the same cities are traveled. If the ticket is exchanged for travel outside of the validity period, the mileage will be credited back into the member account for the applicable service charge, and a new ticket issued at the appropriate miles for the new award.
Award tickets are subject to applicable departure taxes, federal inspection fees, passenger facility charges, and other fees, charges or taxes, and the person utilizing the award is responsible for the payment of any such items that may apply. Any valid unused award ticket or certificate may be returned for account credit to the Mileage Plus Service Center for a service charge. Lost or stolen certificates will not be replaced.
Miles accrued, awards issued and bonus miles offers are subject to the rules of the United Mileage Plus® program. United may change the Mileage Plus program rules, regulations, awards and special offers or terminate the Mileage Plus program at any time and without notice.
